The Shift in Direction
Over time, what began as Calista Florals slowly became something more expansive. The work was never just about arrangements or stems. It was about atmosphere, emotion, and the way a space can make people feel.
Florals were simply the medium.
Lilac & Limelight was born between two florists, years ago—somewhere between a shared obsession with design and a bit of maladaptive daydreaming.
Flowers were anything but casual for us. Every stem felt monumental. Every detail mattered, even the ones no one else would notice. Tears of pure passion were shed, often.
There was always that feeling—the one you can’t really explain, you just feel in your chest when everything clicks into place.
It was never just decoration. It was something deeper.
What I have realized over the years is that the most meaningful work happens when flowers, are only one piece of a larger vision.
A table setting.
The way candlelight dances across a room.
The textures layered into a space.
The subtle shift in energy when everything comes together.
Knowing that its not yellow or green that’s missing. Its chartreuse. (and yes, there is a difference)
That is where I feel most at home.
Calista Florals has evolved into a Design House. One that approaches weddings, events, and creative projects with a wider lens. Florals remain at the heart of what we do, but they now exist alongside design, creative direction, and the shaping of environments meant to be experiences rather than simply seen.
We are specifically drawn to projects that step outside of expectation, events that feel intentional, expressive, and emotionally resonant. Designs that linger.
